Congress president Rahul Gandhi on Monday interacted with software engineers at Manyata Tech Park as part of his poll campaign for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
As he arrived in a convoy to the venue, an amphitheater in the sprawling 300-acre zone of technologies companies, thousands of techies were seen thronging along the barricaded road and sloganeering in favour of Prime Minsiter Narendra Modi.
Within the venue, a few hundred selected people participated in the interaction, sources said. The congress president took just 10 questions from the audience.
After the event, Rahul Gandhi’s convoy left the venue amid loud ‘Modi chants’ again. Many shared videos on social media platforms as well.
About 1.5 lakh employees work with some 68 companies in the tech zone. However, only a small percentage of them were picked for the meet up with the Congress president.
