Voting to elect members for the 17th Lok Sabha will commence on April 11 and end on May 19 in the 7-phased election in the world’s largest democracy. About 900 million registers will vote in 1 million polling stations spread across 29 states and 7 Union Territories to elect 543 law makers.
The votes counted on May 23 and the results are expected to be out on the same day as Electronic Voting Machines are used in voting.
