Prime Minister Narendra Modi has pledged to the Motherland India that he would not let India get destroyed or let her head bow down. He was addressing a rally in Churu, Rajasthan hours after the air strike the Indian Air Force carried on terror camps inside Pakistan. The vows he uttered as a poetic verse in his first public response to the preemptive strike that took place in the wee hours today on February 25, albeit without naming it.
The attack eliminated about 325 fidayeens and 25 commanders, including kin of Jaish-e-Mohammed chief Masood Azhar, holed up in three terror camps. The one in Balakot was touted as a crucial operation centre for training terror operatives.
The strike came following a dastardly attack on Indian security personnel leaving more than 40 martyred in Pulwama, Jammu and Kashmir. But Foriegn Secretary Vijay Gokhale termed it as a preemptive step to prevent more such attacks as there were intelligence inputs revealing plans for further attacks in several places in India.
